Travel | Las Vegas, Nevada

About three weeks ago we got back from an awesome 6 days out in Las Vegas, Nevada for WPPI (the professional wedding photographers convention)! We ended up dedicating one night of photography to celebrate Vegas’s past and the beautiful neon history that goes along with it… we love all things retro, what can we say!

Of course one of our stops HAD to be the Welcome to Las Vegas sign! One my first trip to Vegas sadly we never got down to see it, as it is in an awkward location (and a hike) from most hotels and if you are headed to the very far South end of the strip it’s most likely just visit this infamous sign, which was worth it! I mean what else screams Vegas!?

The rest of the images were all take in the Freemont Street District (an other stop we didn’t have time to hit while I was there last time) but I am SOOOO glad we got to do this! Not only do you get to see the free light show at night but there is so much history and it feels like such a different place than what is on the strip (not that that is a bad thing!) but it really make there feel like there is so much more to do in Vegas. Plus we can’t wait until our next trip back to check out even more progress on the revitalization of this area too including the Container Park (which is closed at night so we didn’t get to visit) as well as the Airstream Hotel that will be opening later this year.  Needless to say we had a great time... until the next adventure Vegas!
