Turntable Tuesday | Beach House, Bloom

When we lived in Milwaukee we listened to (and now online) this amazing publicly funded radio station called 88.9 Radio Milwaukee. It’s truly a wonderful asset to the community and to Wisconsin! Though what I loved most about it was it’s diversity and uniqueness of music highlighting many new artists. One of the many artists that I was introduced to through 88.9 was Beach House.

Beach House’s 2012 release of the album Bloom is simply the beautifully mellow and melancholy feel that you just can’t seem to get enough of. Highlighted by the song Myth and Lazuli (actually released on Record Store Day 2012), these songs are only a fraction of how awesome Bloom really is. The vinyl sleeve we actually purchased the white dots actually glow in the dark too, which is a fun treat at night. Have a listen and enjoy this album from start to finish, it’s almost spiritual in a sense and can really put you in a trance!

PS: Who is excited for Record Store Day this weekend!? I can’t wait to share our adventures!
